Advanced Emergency Medical Technician

Position Overview:
We are actively seeking a dedicated Advanced EMT to join our esteemed team at AMR.
Compensation:
$20.40+ per hour, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Advanced EMT, you will:
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, driving specialized vehicles to designated locations.
- Maintain communication with dispatch to ensure effective coordination.
- Assist in the extraction of individuals from emergency situations.
- Assess the nature and severity of injuries or illnesses to determine appropriate first aid measures.
- Administer first aid and medical care at the scene or during transport, including oxygen delivery, splint application, and resuscitation efforts.
- Collaborate with medical personnel at treatment facilities to ensure seamless patient care.
- Support the transfer of patients to medical facilities, providing vital information to admitting staff.
- Ensure the upkeep of emergency vehicles and medical equipment, restocking supplies as necessary.
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support operational needs.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- State Certification as an Advanced EMT.
Skills:
- Proficient in interpreting safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Capable of producing clear reports and effectively communicating with diverse audiences.
- Strong mathematical skills for calculations related to patient care.
Licenses and Certifications:
- State Certification as an Advanced EMT.
- Current BLS and CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license.
