About the Role

The Patient Access Specialist/Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth registration process for patients. This position requires a strong knowledge of medical terminology, effective communication skills, and the ability to interact diplomatically with physicians, patients, and hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain accurate demographic and financial information from patients
  • Complete registrations and ensure correct room placement
  • Run and accept HDX reports for all applicable insurances
  • Obtain necessary notifications, authorizations, and verification of benefits
  • Track and manage accounts and insurance information
Requirements
  • One year of experience in a hospital admitting or medical business office
  • Computer experience preferred
  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred
  • CPI Certification within the first 90 days
