Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer II to join our team at Texas Health Allen. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound exams and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complex ultrasound procedures, including age-related criteria and developmental considerations.
  • Adjust ultrasound parameters to ensure high-quality images.
  • Assist radiologists with invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
  • Process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Utilize proper downtime procedures for PACS, Ambra, and HIS/RIS systems.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved or accredited ultrasound program preferred.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Neonatal and vascular experience preferred.
  • 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital radiology setting preferred.
  • BCLS certification required, maintained quarterly.
  • ARRT or ARDMS certification required, depending on modality.
