Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Technician II to join our team at AmerisourceBergen Drug Corporation. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the effective use and functionality of automated equipment within our fully automated Distribution Center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues with automated equipment, including PLCs, HMI's, and other control systems.
  • Program basic changes to PLC controllers, including modifying timing and adding alarms and logic for additional inputs or outputs.
  • Troubleshoot communication issues with devices connected to the MHE network or other networks such as Profibus.
  • Operate and diagnose all chill water plant systems, including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, BAS, HVAC, and water treatment.
  • Mentor other technicians and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Requirements

  • Strong technical and operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD layouts, illustrated parts breakdown diagrams, and electrical circuitry diagrams and drawings.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues, including testing, replacement, or repair of electrical systems, motors, power supplies, frequency drives, and other equipment.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ability to read electrical schematic, wiring diagrams, and PLC ladder and block logic.
  • Ability to program basic changes to PLC controllers and troubleshoot communication issues with devices connected to the MHE network or other networks.
