Position Overview:
The Patient Access Coordinator plays a crucial role in facilitating communication within the healthcare environment. This position is responsible for managing the telephone switchboard, ensuring efficient relay of incoming, outgoing, and interdepartmental calls.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate the telephone switchboard to handle various calls effectively.
2. Process overhead pages, beeper notifications, and emergency code announcements in accordance with Trios Health policies.
3. Maintain an accurate and current directory of patients, physicians, and Trios Health employees, serving as the central information hub.
4. Act as a cashier, completing cash receipts for transactions, including cash, money orders, and bank cards, while ensuring proper crediting to accounts.
5. Keep business office copies of accounts organized and up-to-date.
6. Foster positive relationships through effective communication with patients, physicians, hospital departments, and visitors.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
- This position is part of a Union.
