Job Summary

This position is located within the Environmental Management Services Division of the VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION. The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks related to maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform janitorial and custodial services, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash and recyclables, and restocking supplies.
  • Operate light and heavy powered equipment, such as floor buffers and pressure washers, to maintain floors and surfaces.
  • Assist with special projects, such as cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms and common areas.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
