Senior Inspector

Volkert Inc is seeking an experienced Senior Inspector to support our East Gulf Region in Alabama. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental and/or waterline construction, with a focus on inspection and testing of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with contract documents, standards, and specifications
• Test materials and review plans to ensure quality and safety
• Monitor contractor operations and perform daily diaries to track progress and identify potential issues
• Document pay records and perform construction calculations
• Anticipate contractual problems and advise supervisors on necessary plan revisions or adjustments

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 8+ years of progressive inspection level experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Possess a valid driver's license and good driving record
• Ability to pass a drug test
• Must be able to perform moderate physical activity and lift 70 lbs.
