Patient Services Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY
The Patient Services Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for patients. This position is responsible for managing the front desk operations and providing exceptional customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet patients with warmth and professionalism as they arrive at the facility, guiding them through the check-in process.
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments based on physician preferences, and accurately transcribing messages for follow-up.
- Verify insurance eligibility for patients and manage the auditing and editing of insurance claims as necessary.
- Input and scan documents into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring all information is accurately recorded.
- Confirm appointments for the next day and manage rescheduling for any missed appointments, utilizing the practice's recall system effectively.
- Prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments to ensure readiness for the following day.
- Process sales of contact lenses through phone inquiries or transitions from the doctor.
- Maintain an organized front desk area at all times to facilitate smooth operations.
- Adhere to opening and closing procedures as outlined by the practice.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall function of the practice.
