Role Overview:
As an integral member of the patient care team and the primary contact for patients, the Patient Service Representative is tasked with fostering positive patient interactions, managing effective telephone communication, scheduling appointments, registering patients, and overseeing payment and co-payment collections.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
An Associate Degree or College Diploma is advantageous.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
A minimum of one year of experience in an outpatient surgical environment is required.
SKILLS:
- Communication: Proficient in conveying and receiving written and verbal information to and from diverse audiences in various formats. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.
- Knowledge: Demonstrates expertise in medical insurance, referral processes, and benefits plans. Capable of working independently.
- Technical Skills: Ability to utilize knowledge of information software and/or hardware to provide solutions and support. Familiarity with CS-Link/Epic Healthcare is preferred.
