Metallurgy and Materials Science Co-op Program

Scot Forge Company is seeking highly motivated and talented students to join their Metallurgy and Materials Science Co-op Program. This program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the field of metallurgy and materials science while working closely with experienced professionals.

Program Highlights

  • Training and Development: Students will receive comprehensive training in metallurgy and materials science, including steel making, heat treating, metallography, failure analysis, open die forging, and mechanical testing.
Requirements
  • Education: Students must be currently enrolled in a University undergraduate materials science/metallurgical engineering program or a Graduate level program.
  • Grade Point Average: Students must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  • Skills: Students must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and have good communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
  • Experience: Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required.
