Fairfield Inn & Suites in Fresno, CA is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team.

This role is essential for maintaining the property’s infrastructure, including the grounds, building facilities, and guest accommodations.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure a superior lodging experience for every guest while adhering to brand operating standards.
Maintain grooming, uniform, and appearance standards.
Order and install minor maintenance supplies as directed by the supervisor.
Complete tasks on the daily Maintenance Checklist efficiently.
Address Maintenance Request Forms within 24 hours.
Execute the Preventive Maintenance program punctually.
Respond to maintenance emergencies promptly, available on a 24-hour call basis.
Assist with transporting dishware items to guest rooms when needed.
Follow safe working practices in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines.
Handle chemicals safely according to Material Safety and Data Sheets.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to meet operational needs.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and brand standards.

Maintenance of Common Areas and Exterior:
Empty trash and clean property trash containers daily.
Sweep and maintain sidewalks and stairs as necessary (due to trash and weather conditions).
Remove debris from parking lots, landscaping, and dumpster areas on a daily basis.
Ensure the exterior of the building and grounds are kept clean.

Maintenance of Common Areas and Interior:
Paint walls, ceilings, doors, and window trim as required.
Conduct Preventive Maintenance on a specified number of rooms each day as directed by the supervisor.

Lighting
Electrical systems and wiring
Plumbing

HVAC Systems
Guest room walls
Appliances
Doors and locks
Furniture
Carpet (stain removal)
Floor coverings
Ensure Guest Laundry facilities, vending machines, and common areas are cleaned twice daily.
Maintain a clean and organized maintenance workshop and storage areas.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:
General knowledge of heating, air conditioning, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Ability to utilize basic tools and equipment effectively.
Capability to patch holes, clean carpets, and paint walls.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong teamwork skills.
Demonstrated strong work ethic.

Preferred Skills:
Experience in apartment, building, or lodging maintenance.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to bend at the waist and work on knees.
Ability to reach overhead.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to walk multiple flights of stairs.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to maneuver heavy equipment.
