The Facility Maintenance Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive cleaning and maintenance services to the facilities managed by Mental Health Systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To ensure the smooth operation of the facilities, the following duties are expected:

  • Perform cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Assist in preparing spaces for various events by moving furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff, clients, and visitors.
  • Utilize and care for cleaning equipment and tools for the upkeep of the facilities.
  • Secure the premises by checking doors and windows when not in use.
  • Adhere to safety protocols regarding the use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Support compliance with organizational policies and safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Experience in cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to assist in event setups and manage equipment.
  • Strong observational skills to identify maintenance issues.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with diverse groups.
  • Familiarity with the operation of cleaning machinery and tools.
  • Capability to follow safety guidelines and procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires the ability to meet the following physical demands:

  • Visual acuity, auditory skills, and verbal communication.
  • Physical mobility including bending, stooping, and moving throughout the facility.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as well as push and pull equipment.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
