Role Responsibilities
As a Respiratory Therapist, your role will involve the coordination and provision of high-quality respiratory care to patients. Your duties will encompass conducting diagnostic evaluations, executing therapeutic interventions, and overseeing patients on mechanical ventilation.
Key Duties May Include:
- Operating ventilators in acute care settings
- Maintaining accurate departmental and hospital documentation
- Performing procedures with professionalism and compassion
Qualifications for Consideration
- Valid Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist license
- Certification as a BLS provider from the American Heart Association
- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care educational program
- Ability to think critically and perform well under pressure
- Strong customer service skills
Essential Responsibilities in the Role
- Conducting patient evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Administering respiratory therapy treatments
- Assisting with airway management and mechanical ventilation
- Monitoring patient conditions and providing interventions as needed
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
- Associate Degree in a relevant field
