Position Summary

The Financial Reporting Analyst will deliver financial insights, reporting, and analytical support to various operational teams, including Retail, Culinary, Nutrition & Wellness, and Patient Solutions. This role involves close collaboration with finance and operations teams to enhance financial performance and meet company key performance indicators (KPIs). Continuous process improvement will be a key focus to enhance team capabilities and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a suite of monthly financial reports for leadership across operational teams.
  • Assist in the creation and presentation of executive-level summaries that encapsulate monthly performance, detailed analyses, and case studies.
  • Support management in retail pricing evaluations, initiatives, and food cost assessments.
  • Develop analytical tools and reports to facilitate retail pricing strategies.
  • Provide expert analytical support to the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team.
  • Conduct compensation analysis and reporting in collaboration with Human Resources and Finance.
  • Analyze the relationship between units sold, revenue, and gross margin.
  • Handle and analyze large datasets, ensuring accuracy despite potential data imperfections.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are indicative of the skills and experience required:

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field is preferred. An MBA or advanced degree is advantageous. A background of 1-3 years in Finance or a related area is desirable.

Additional Skills:

  • Quick and independent learner.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities utilizing complex quantitative methods.
  • Proficient in analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating complex datasets.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and VBA.
  • Experience with database querying and statistical software (e.g., SQL, R, Python, Qlik) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of business acumen.
  • Able to foster relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
