Position Overview:
The Plumbing Sales Associate role is essential for enhancing sales performance and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position involves assisting both returning and new customers, managing warehousing tasks, and addressing inquiries via phone and in-person.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers at the sales counter by accurately processing orders and prioritizing regular clients.
  • Utilize electronic and printed catalogs to provide detailed product information, including pricing and availability.
  • Adhere to company pricing and credit policies.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
  • Efficiently retrieve orders from the warehouse.
  • Boost sales and average order value through cross-selling, up-selling, and promoting special offers.
  • Manage customer complaints and returns with a positive demeanor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in merchandising and counter areas.
  • Ensure inventory levels at the counter are adequate, stimulating impulse purchases.
  • Participate in scheduled inventory counts.
  • Engage in outbound sales calls as directed by management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address customer service challenges.
  • Utilize order entry systems and technology effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Attend product training sessions.
  • Prepare orders for delivery and pickup, ensuring accuracy.
  • Monitor order status and follow specific instructions as needed.
  • Receive and log shipments into inventory, conducting audits as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate deliveries.
  • Operate a forklift safely, maintaining certification and performing safety checks.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and efficient facility.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and secure the facility.
  • Stay proficient in computerized systems and technologies.

Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License
Strong knowledge of plumbing products is essential
Experience will influence starting pay
Familiarity with Solar Eclipse software is preferred.
