Job Title: Secret VMWARE Administrator

Spectrum Comm Inc is seeking a highly qualified Secret VMWARE Administrator to support our proposal for a new program located in Norfolk, VA.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate should have eight (8) years of experience in server virtualization and administration, with a strong background in VMware products, including vSAN, vCenter, and vSphere 6.x. The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a T5 minimum background investigation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform the planning and coordination of installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and administration of a complex virtualized environment consisting of Microsoft Windows Server and RHEL Server Operating Systems.
  • Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and application software.
  • Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
  • Manage systems resources, including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability, and implement security procedures and tools.
  • Develop and document system administration standard operating procedures.
  • Resolve hardware/software interface and interoperability problems within the virtualized environment.
  • Ensure systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency.
  • Maintain systems configuration.
  • Manage the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates, and enhancements.
Requirements
  • Eight (8) years of experience in server virtualization and administration.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience administering VMware products, including vSAN, vCenter, and vSphere 6.x.
  • Knowledge of advanced features like vMotion, High Availability, REST APIs, and Integrated Containers.
  • Expertise in UNIX-based and Windows Server Operating Systems, including Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Required OS/CE certification.
