UNC Health is looking for a dedicated Radiology Technologist to join our team in Knightdale, North Carolina.

Position Overview:

This role is essential in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. As a Radiology Technologist, you will work within a collaborative environment, contributing to the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine radiographic procedures and tests utilizing advanced radiology equipment to gather critical diagnostic information.
  • Assist radiologists in complex imaging procedures, including the preparation and administration of contrast media and medications, adhering to all regulatory standards.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide compassionate care throughout the imaging process.
  • Evaluate the necessity of examinations and ensure the quality of radiographic images meets established standards.

Work Environment:

The clinics operate seven days a week, offering flexible shifts to accommodate the needs of our patients. Each shift is staffed with a Radiology Technologist who is cross-trained to handle various clinical tasks, including patient registration and point-of-care testing.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or eligible for registration within one year of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of radiation safety protocols and infection control measures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
