We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as a part-time lecturer in the Hutchins School of Liberal Studies at Sonoma State University.
About the PositionThis is a temporary, part-time position that may become available. The successful candidate will teach courses in the Hutchins General Education Program, including writing support, first-year transition, and ethnic studies general education.
ResponsibilitiesThe lecturer will be responsible for teaching courses in the Hutchins General Education Program, including:
- LIBS 100, 101, 102, 103, 201, 202, and 204
- Writing support and first-year transition courses
- Ethnic studies general education courses
The lecturer will also be responsible for developing and teaching courses on topics of science in society or science education, including:
- LIBS 320B core seminars
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A Master's degree or higher in a relevant field
- A minimum of one year's teaching experience
- Pedagogical abilities appropriate to the course emphases
- An interdisciplinary educational background and/or teaching experience
