Position Overview:

Under moderate guidance, the primary responsibility involves documenting stock levels by recording additions, distributions, adjustments, losses, and removals of items. The role includes preparing inventory reports through the collection and analysis of data on stock utilization.

This position reports to the Supervisor I, Onsite Services, and collaborates closely with Avantor's Lab and Production Services team, which comprises over 1,500 skilled personnel both on-site and off-site, as well as our clients to execute tailored, mission-driven laboratory tasks and research protocols that facilitate scientific progress.

Compensation Package:

Sign-On Bonus: $2,000.00

Hourly Rate: $22.28/hr. + 15% shift differential ($3.34/hr.) = $25.62/hr.

Qualifications:

Impact and Responsibilities:

The Lab and Production Services team at Avantor plays a vital role in supporting over 500 clients across biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech sectors by providing customizable, flexible solutions and comprehensive laboratory operations support. In this capacity, you will:

  • Manage inventory tasks, ensuring accurate control and processing of requests related to inventory movement.
  • Conduct inventory management functions, including monitoring slow-moving and obsolete stock, performing cycle counts, and reporting on inventory status.
  • Deliver daily customer service and maintain communication regarding inventory management.
  • Engage in purchasing activities, including back order reporting, expediting, and managing quotes.
  • Coordinate shipping activities, including handling customer materials and maintaining shipping documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with hazardous material handling and shipping documentation requirements.
  • Oversee various inventory types, including consigned and customer-owned stock.
