Pediatric Emergency Department Leadership Opportunity

The Pediatric Emergency Department Manager at Revel Staffing is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and staffing of the department. This role involves monitoring nursing practices, upholding clinical standards, and holding staff accountable to achieve optimal patient outcomes and support facility goals.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical and Operational Leadership
  • Ensure adherence to standards of care, promoting accountability and transparency in service delivery.
  • Monitor and enhance clinical efficiency, effectiveness, and cost through process improvements.
  • Manage admissions, discharges, and care coordination to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.
  • Assign staff with appropriate clinical competencies to meet patient needs and support optimal outcomes.
  • Ensure regular equipment maintenance and compliance with operational standards.
  • Maintain unit operations aligned with nursing best practices and productivity guidelines.
Patient Experience and Compliance
  • Provide leadership to achieve excellent patient experiences, promoting consistent, positive interactions.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement through patient feedback and implement strategies for enhancement.
  • Support service recovery initiatives and ensure a patient-first philosophy throughout the department.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Staff Development and Engagement
  • Attract, develop, and retain talent to meet the department's needs.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to improve staff performance and identify areas for development.
  • Manage employee concerns, grievances, or disputes, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Implement employee engagement practices aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Financial Management
  • Manage operating expenses, monitor productivity, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Oversee staff scheduling to meet productivity standards and ensure optimal coverage.
Community and Professional Engagement
  • Participate in patient and community events, as well as in-service training.
  • Support the achievement of internal and external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
Qualifications
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a pediatric emergency department – required.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in an acute care setting – required.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing – required.
  • Master's degree in Nursing – preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Current Registered Nurse or active Compact license in Texas – required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required within 90 days of hire.
  • Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) – preferred.
