Key Responsibilities:

• Skillfully prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold dishes, including soups, sauces, salads, and special entrees, as well as catering needs as directed by the supervisor.
• Assess the quality and freshness of food items served.
• Monitor cooking temperatures to ensure the delivery of high-quality meals.
• Create an exceptional dining experience that surpasses customer expectations.
• Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment, emphasizing integrity, outstanding customer service, financial responsibility, and a commitment to excellence.
• Comply with all food safety regulations set forth by CSG, as well as state and federal guidelines, and any other relevant health and safety standards.
• Utilize food preparation equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times.
• Communicate effectively, ensuring understanding and adherence to verbal instructions, written recipes, and production orders.
• Keep accurate records while employing creative cooking techniques in daily menu preparation.
• Adhere to all HACCP policies and procedures, monitoring the flow of food.
• Prepare food stations effectively prior to service, with the necessary equipment and ingredients as determined by the supervisor.
• Ensure the efficient distribution of food to CSG clients.
• Receive, unpack, and store deliveries according to supervisor's instructions.
• Maintain a sanitized workstation consistently.
• Complete all assigned side work as directed by the supervisor.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• This role may require performing additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or client.

Requirements:

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
• ServeSafe certification is preferred.
• Coursework in institutional cooking and food service sanitation is desirable.
• Experience in a healthcare or contract food service setting is advantageous but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to reach or bend frequently.
• Ability to lift or carry items weighing 10 lbs or more regularly.
• Ability to occasionally lift items up to 50 lbs.
