  • Communicate effectively, demonstrating a thorough understanding of verbal instructions, written recipes, and production orders.
  • Keep accurate records while applying creative cooking techniques in daily menu preparation.
  • Adhere to all HACCP policies and procedures, monitoring the flow of food.
  • Prepare an effective food station setup prior to service, equipped with the necessary tools and ingredients as determined by the supervisor.
  • Ensure the efficient distribution of food to CSG customers.
  • Receive, unpack, and organize deliveries in appropriate storage areas following supervisor instructions.
  • Maintain a sanitized workstation at all times.
  • Complete all side work responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Be prepared to undertake additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements:

Our Ideal Candidate will possess:

  • A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  • ServeSafe certification is preferred.
  • Coursework in institutional cooking and food service sanitation is desirable.
  • Experience in a healthcare or contract food service environment is advantageous but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to reach or bend frequently.
  • Ability to lift or carry items weighing 10 lbs or more regularly.
  • Ability to occasionally lift items up to 50 lbs.
