Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Configuration Management Specialist to oversee the integrity and consistency of our system by ensuring that all changes are reviewed, approved, and thoroughly documented.

About the Role

As a Configuration Management Specialist, you will be responsible for tracking compliance to both internal policies and customer policies and procedures. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the configuration management documentation through regular audits and change control meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire configuration management process, ensuring that changes to the system are properly reviewed, approved, and documented.
  • Maintain and update the configuration management database (CMDB) to accurately reflect the current state of the system.
  • Develop and implement configuration management plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with internal and customer requirements.
  • Track and report on compliance to configuration management policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with the quality and engineering teams to address and resolve any compliance issues that arise.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on configuration management best practices and provide guidance and support to other teams as needed.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • U.S Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Proven experience in configuration management, change management, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of configuration management principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of engineering operations processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools and software.
  • Exceptional technical writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
