We are seeking a skilled Lighting & Controls Specialist to join our team at Lightserve Corporation. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our organization.

Job Summary:

  • This role involves designing and developing lighting and controls solutions for various projects, ensuring they meet industry standards, local codes, and customer requirements while staying within budget.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with lighting calculation software, AutoCAD LT, and the ability to navigate multiple computer system windows and applications.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, as this role requires working closely with customers, vendors, and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop lighting and controls solutions for various projects, considering industry standards, local codes, and customer requirements.
  2. Utilize lighting project software (Auto CAD, DIALux, and AGI32) to create project designs from concept to completion.
  3. Maintain relationships with new and existing customers and vendors, providing excellent customer service and support.
  4. Research and evaluate lighting and lighting control products to determine benefits and risks, relaying information to the sales team, leadership, and customers.
  5. Participate in on-site audits and installation processes, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  6. Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies and events.

Requirements:

  • An associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with a professional lighting certification preferred (LC, CLCP).
  • Ability to maintain a professional presence with all stakeholders, including vendors, customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Customer service focus with the ability to respond to requests in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and proficient in using search tools to find information.
  • Understanding of commercial and industrial lighting, with experience in AutoCAD LT a plus.

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
