We are in search of a seasoned software developer to join our mission to enhance the capabilities of software performance tuning applications for GPUs. You will leverage your expertise in current and future NVIDIA chip architectures to refine our tools that provide valuable insights to application developers. Be a part of the creative process that empowers inventors globally, ensuring they can rely on the innovative products you helped bring to life. Join our team and introduce new technologies to the market through advanced simulation and emulation systems, becoming one of the first to engage with new silicon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teams from other Nsight profiling tools to explore innovative designs for power and performance feature sets.
- Examine hardware and software components essential for delivering next-generation performance tools for profiling and monitoring.
- Guarantee the observability of power assessment and management, crucial for efficient hardware utilization.
- Prototype novel methods for collecting performance analysis data aimed at enhancing the quality of GPU developer tools while minimizing both time and cost to market.
- Partner with NVIDIA's GPU Architecture and Developer Technology teams to enhance data collection methodologies and practices for GPU and SOC power measurement and management strategies.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science (or equivalent experience) with 4+ years of relevant work experience, or an M.S. with 2+ years of experience, or a Ph.D.
- Proficient understanding of computer architecture (e.g., x86, ARM CPUs, GPUs).
- Solid grasp of hardware pipeline concepts, with a readiness to engage at a detailed implementation level.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, and scripting languages (Python preferred).
- A genuine passion for learning about hardware and software.
- Experience in performance analysis, particularly with GPU applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Robust background in performance analysis tools and performance monitoring hardware.
- Experience with CUDA or GPU programming models.
- In-depth familiarity with profiling tools across CPU, GPU, and networking.
- Experience in device driver development.
