GPU Cluster Performance Optimization Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated GPU Cluster Performance Optimization Engineer to join our dynamic team at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GPU architectures, parallel computing, and hands-on experience in system level performance tuning and debug methodologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing and achieving peak performance for GPU clusters, collaborating with hardware and software teams to enhance overall performance, and developing and executing comprehensive benchmarking strategies to assess baseline performance and identify areas for improvement.

The GPU Cluster Performance Optimization Engineer will also be responsible for evaluating the scalability of GPU clusters, utilizing profiling tools and methodologies to analyze and identify performance bottlenecks, and creating detailed documentation of performance analysis, tuning efforts, and outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GPU architectures, parallel computing concepts, and network protocols, as well as proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and performance analysis.

Experience with system level performance analysis tools and methodologies for GPU clusters, RDMA network configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning, and Linux kernel networking expertise are also highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be a key member of our team, working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate performance improvements into the GPU cluster architecture and staying current with the latest developments in GPU architectures, parallel processing, and emerging technologies.

Proven experience in optimizing the performance of GPU clusters is essential for this role.
