Job Summary

Qualcomm is seeking a highly skilled GPU Performance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, implementing, verifying, and optimizing the performance and power of GPU cores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leads the development of advanced GPU knowledge and experience to optimize the performance and power of GPU cores.
  • Analyzes DX12/OpenCL/Vulkan benchmark & Games, identifies potential hardware or software performance optimization opportunities, and collaborates with HW/SW teams to implement and validate optimization proposals.
  • Develops and tests functional model simulations, software, and graphics to verify correctness and ensure high-performance and power goals are met.
  • Designs, programs, and runs complex graphics tests using tools for large subsystems to ensure high-quality functionality, performance, power, and stability, and identifies issues.
  • Facilitates collaboration with third-party vendors, external users, and across organizations to guide implementation and ensure alignment with needs and goals.
  • Develops critical driver and compiler software to support GPU products.
  • Writes detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for highly complex GPU projects to guide users and/or customers to implement output; reviews technical documentation for junior engineers.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant GPU experience.
  • 2+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director and above).
  • 1+ year in a technical leadership role with direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports).
