GPU Performance Efficiency Engineer

At Apple, we're committed to delivering innovative products that exceed our customers' expectations. As a GPU Performance Efficiency Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and manufacturing our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processor, system-on-chip (SoC).
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and analyze GPU efficiency projections – performance per watt – for each generation of GPU over the full cycle of the project, from concept to silicon.
- Drive the methodology of generating projections and efficiency curves to improve accuracy and quality.
- Collaborate with architecture, power, performance, silicon validation, thermals, and technology teams to determine the impact of features on efficiency.
- Work with performance and power teams to gather data for efficiency curves and analyze the impact.
- Improve projections based on silicon data with the silicon validation team.
- 10+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with a background in power, silicon technology, or architecture.
- Background in performance or power.
- Experience in power projections or performance analysis.
- Experience with GPU workloads.
- Skills in Python, VBA, or other coding skills.
- Experience with data analysis and Excel.
- Ability to work across teams.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good planning skills, self-driven, and detail-oriented.
- Education: BS + 10 years of experience.
