Work Schedule: 1st Shift - Monday to Friday - 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Position Overview:

The Fabrication Specialist at Valmont Industries is crucial in the construction and finishing of architectural frameworks utilized in the telecommunications sector. This role involves interpreting blueprints and employing craftsmanship to create tailored concealment structures for wireless communication equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, layout, and assemble designed structures, including frame walls and finishing materials.
  • Safely handle and lift heavy materials while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Occasionally operate material handling equipment, with training provided.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Assist with additional tasks such as sanding, painting, and packaging as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.
  • Skilled in framing structural components to ensure precision.
  • Proficient in operating various hand and power tools safely.
  • Evaluate the quality of materials including wood and composites.
  • Capable of cutting, shaping, and finishing materials to meet specifications.
  • Assess and rectify work quality to adhere to standards.
  • Ability to read measurements accurately.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional carpentry experience.
  • Experience with advanced adhesives is advantageous.

Work Environment:

This position is primarily based in a manufacturing setting that is not climate-controlled, with some outdoor tasks. The role demands standing for extended periods and involves a fast-paced work atmosphere.
