Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting the efficient operations of the College of Nursing and School of Health Sciences clinical operations by providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Respond to the needs of stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure the University and CNHS are perceived as customer-oriented and responsive.
  • Correspondence and Communication: Compose, modify, and proof routine and confidential correspondence, including letters, memos, and forms.
  • Committee Coordination: Coordinate and schedule CNHS governance committees and councils and other committees, as necessary.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize available data systems to create reports in support of CNHS initiatives.
  • Travel Coordination: Coordinate travel for CNHS leadership team.
  • Financial Management: Organize and track program expenditures in support of the annual budget.
  • Purchase Requests: Process purchase requests and consultant payments, as necessary.
  • Committee Participation: Serve on university-wide committees and task groups as assigned.
  • Student Support: Assist in direct communication with students to answer questions or resolve issues.
Qualifications
  • An associate degree from an accredited academic institution or 5+ years of related work experience with completed High School diploma/GED.
  • Minimum of 1-year related work experience.
  • Experience in adult and continuing education or distance education highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, project management skills preferred.
  • Comfort working with technologies to collect and analyze data in support of College initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated competence in written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with deans, faculty, and staff throughout the College.
  • Demonstrated integrity, commitment to high standards, ability to achieve results.
  • A commitment to working successfully with diverse populations.
