Job Summary

This role provides strategic leadership and support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care across the hospital organization.

The successful candidate will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a unit level, with a focus on competency of clinical staff and resource management related to patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care strategies
  • Assess and evaluate nursing practice to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure effective resource allocation
  • Recruit, retain, and develop nursing staff to meet organizational needs
Requirements
  • Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven leadership ability and hospital operational experience
  • Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing
Education

Academic degree in nursing is required. A Bachelor's or Master's degree is preferred.

Experience

At least 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position is required.

Certifications

Current licensure, certification, or registration to practice as a registered nurse is required. CPR certification is also required.
