Job Summary

This role provides strategic leadership and support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care across the hospital organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the CNO in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a unit level.
  • Provide 24/7 leadership and support to the Manager's assigned areas.
  • Ensure competency of clinical staff and effective resource management related to patient care.
  • Collaborate with the CNO to develop and implement nursing strategies that align with the hospital's goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice.
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven leadership ability and hospital operational experience.
  • Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
Education and Experience
  • Academic degree in nursing.
  • 2 Years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.
Certifications
  • Must be currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy.
  • CPR certification.
