Pro Bono Specialist

Arnold & Porter seeks a skilled Pro Bono Specialist to support the firm’s pro bono initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management and be able to analyze and report on pro bono metrics. The successful candidate will also be responsible for cultivating and coordinating pro bono collaborations with commercial clients, managing responses to national and local pro bono surveys, and planning and coordinating pro bono clinic programs.

**Responsibilities:**

* Cultivate and coordinate the development of pro bono collaborations with commercial clients.
* Manage and draft responses to national and local pro bono surveys and awards submissions.
* Plan and coordinate pro bono clinic programs and associated trainings with legal service partners.
* Analyze pro bono data and prepare reports on pro bono metrics.
* Manage intake of pro bono matters, including matter opening procedures and coordinating retainer letters.
* Track attorney departures and ensure proper case handover.
* Coordinate staffing on pro bono matters.
* Maintain records for the pro bono department, including relevant internal program information.
* Coordinate internal pro bono events, such as panels and training.
* Respond to calls and letters requesting pro bono assistance.

**Qualifications:**

* Bachelor’s Degree required.
* A minimum of four years of experience in the professional services or legal industry.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Knowledge of various data management and computer software programs preferred.
* Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice goals.
* Ability to interact effectively with attorneys and key personnel.
* Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $87,000 to $105,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
