About the Role

We are seeking an Advanced Engineering Student to join our research and technology group at Magna Powertrain. As a member of our team, you will assist with projects on various levels throughout the co-op program, supporting mechanical, electrical, and controls design, industry research, prototype acquisition and assembly, and testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support lead engineers in creating new and advancing existing powertrain and driveline technology.
  • Collaborate with design and testing departments to develop technology and product concepts.
  • Maintain working knowledge of safety policies and regulations.
Expected Learning Outcomes
  • Exposure to mechanical design and test setup execution.
  • Improved problem-solving skills and experience working with a team.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
  • Enrolled in an engineering program with an accredited school.
  • Understanding of engineering theory and principles of design.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in an office environment with limited travel required. The role involves exposure to machinery, moderate noise, and various levels of temperature created by manufacturing processes.
