Prepared Foods Dishwasher

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Prepared Foods Dishwasher to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our dishroom area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares to ensure a clean and safe environment for our customers and team members.
- Maintain the cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area, adhering to our high standards of sanitation and safety.
- Assist with kitchen deliveries, including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products to ensure efficient and effective inventory management.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner, and modeling suggestive selling techniques to drive sales and revenue growth.
- Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product to meet customer demands and drive business growth.
- Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, ensuring accuracy of signs and pricing, and immediately reporting safety hazards and violations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership to support the success of our team and the company.
Requirements:
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated passion for cleanliness and attention to detail to maintain high standards of sanitation and safety.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with colleagues and provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
- Understanding of and compliance with WFM quality goals and standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
- Exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
