Position Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Marine Engineer who will leverage their expertise in marine engineering principles to conduct complex analyses and support various marine structures projects. The ideal candidate will work autonomously and possess a solid understanding of problem-solving within the marine engineering discipline.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering support for marine construction projects, including dredging and shore protection.
  • Evaluate design modifications resulting from construction challenges and approve necessary documentation.
  • Assess nonconformities against original designs and provide appropriate resolutions.
  • Address technical inquiries from construction teams and participate in coordination meetings.
  • Assist in the transportation and installation processes of modular marine structures.
  • Review existing design documents and inspection reports to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Advise on load considerations for structural analysis of marine facilities.
  • Evaluate the suitability of marine structures for operational purposes.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering from an accredited institution, with 12-13 years of relevant experience, or 24-25 years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be a US citizen and able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Ability to obtain a site security badge for worksite access.
Required Skills:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required or must be obtained within 12 months.
  • A minimum of 13 years of experience in designing marine structures, including ports and terminals.
  • Experience with marine construction contractors is essential.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as GTSTRUDL, STAAD Pro, and ANSYS.
  • Strong analytical capabilities in structural and geotechnical design for marine applications.
  • Familiarity with international codes and standards relevant to marine engineering.
