Key Responsibilities:

The following duties are illustrative of the various types of work that may be performed in this role. They are not intended to prescribe or limit the assignments that management may allocate.
  • Acquire industry knowledge, skills, and best practices through hands-on experience with Consultants, Senior Consultants, Regional and Area Managers, business partners, and external sources.
  • Operate independently as a Consultant within two years of joining the organization.
  • Execute all essential functions of a Consultant with varying levels of support from team members.
  • Build a customer pipeline by promoting LB services across all relevant business lines in the service area. This may involve exhibiting at regional conferences, conducting client lunch-and-learns, visiting potential and current client sites, and authoring industry-specific blogs and articles.
  • Engage in all facets of project development, including but not limited to bid and contract formulation, conceptual planning, design, construction oversight, maintenance audits, site safety and equipment evaluations, and modernization initiatives for vertical transportation systems.
  • Oversee active projects with assistance from team members to ensure client satisfaction, quality, timely delivery, and prompt billing and payment.
  • Support the planning, coordination, billing, delivery, and all other activities associated with other business lines in the assigned service area as required.
  • Provide scheduled and requested reports with assistance to business support functions and leadership as needed, including but not limited to equipment and systems status, work completion percentages, billing percentages, contract modifications, change orders, and deficiency lists.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, or other safety requirements when performing on-site fieldwork, inspections, audits, surveys, and construction administrative services.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in materials management, waste management operations, supply chain management, automated transport, material storage/retrieval systems, bulk and unit material handling/distribution systems, or warehouse intralogistics.
  • Prior knowledge of the industry, including expertise in one or more of the following areas: elevators, escalators, moving walkways, mid- and/or high-rise building design, specifications and analysis, or other vertical transportation equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of and ability to adhere to ASME codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to coordinate the design and implementation of systems with the architectural team, building owners, management companies, municipalities, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Deductive reasoning and critical thinking abilities.
  • The ability to maintain and enhance knowledge of industry operational and equipment trends.

  • The ability to present professionally in communication, interactions, attire, and hygiene with clients, the public, and others.
  • The ability to work effectively with all levels of Consultants and Designers, build partnerships, and lead teams.
  • The ability to travel regionally on a regular basis.
  • Intermediate or better proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Acrobat, PowerPoint, CAD/Drawing review software, CAD deliverables, and Project Time Recording Systems.
