We are seeking a skilled Cancer Care Specialist to join our team of travel nurses in Washington, DC. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support for critically or chronically ill cancer patients.

About the Role

As a Cancer Care Specialist, you will work under the direction of a physician to administer chemotherapy, implement new methods of symptom treatment, and monitor patients' progress. This is a critical role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Your duties will include coordinating treatment plans, providing patient education and treatment tracking, and serving as a reliable source of comfort and support for cancer patients and their families.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate treatment plans and ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
  • Provide clear and concise education to patients and their families about treatment options and procedures.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure timely and effective communication.

In addition to your clinical expertise, you must be able to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and navigate fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
