This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a skilled engineer to join our Product Development team as a Staff R&D Engineer. You will contribute to the development of wearable medical products, from early-stage research to commercialization, in a highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead wear studies to evaluate various aspects of device performance, including authoring and reviewing study protocols, developing data collection procedures, and conducting studies in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • Drive early-stage research to advance product innovation by identifying and evaluating promising technologies, developing user-focused designs, and generating creative concepts.
  • Translate clinical needs into engineering requirements, communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and analyze and interpret data using Python or R.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in materials, biomechanics, and DOE (Design of Experiments), contributing to the generation of intellectual property and influencing business and product decisions using research and data.

About You:

You have a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or a similar discipline, preferably with 5+ years of experience in medical devices. Strong grasp of complex experimental design, expertise in materials and/or relevant biomechanics, and knowledge of basic statistics are essential. Self-motivation, ability to work independently, and effective communication skills are also required.
