Department of Neurology

The Department of Neurology at Virginia Jobs is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as an Epilepsy Specialist.

Mission and Goals:
The Department of Neurology is committed to providing exceptional patient-centered care, conducting innovative research, and training the next generation of neurologists and clinical neuroscientists. Our mission is to advance the understanding and treatment of neurological disorders, including epilepsy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Care:
    • Provide comprehensive care to patients with epilepsy in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Teaching and Education:
    • Teach medical students and housestaff on issues related to epilepsy.
  • Research:
    • Participate in clinical and translational research projects, including clinical trials.
  • Service:
    • Contribute to departmental, School of Medicine, and University committees as necessary.

Requirements:
BC/BE in Neurology, Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology with an emphasis on Epilepsy, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Preferred qualifications include completion of an Epilepsy fellowship.
