Department of Neurology Mission:

The Department of Neurology at Virginia Jobs is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art comprehensive patient-centered neurological care for adults and children. Faculty Position Overview:

This is an Open Rank (rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications), open tenure, full-time faculty position in the Division of Neuromuscular Medicine. The successful candidate will serve as a faculty member of the Division and will be responsible for providing patient care, engaging in team member and community education, and participating in clinical research.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical: Primary clinical responsibilities include care of patients/families with neurological disorders.
  • Teaching: The faculty member will teach learners, staff, and physicians regarding autonomic neurology, its goals, and their role in quality patient outcomes while providing training/education of epilepsy nursing-related care.
  • Research: The Division of Neuromuscular Medicine is engaged in clinical and translation research projects. The faculty member will be expected to participate in and when appropriate lead clinical research and clinical trials.
  • Service: Faculty member will serve on departmental, School of Medicine, and/or University committees as necessary, as well as in a professional capacity in their field, e.g., reviewer, conference organizer, etc.

Required Qualifications:

BC/BE in Neurology, a specific subspecialty interest may be accommodated based on Departmental needs, completed an accredited Autonomic Disorders Fellowship, and demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
