Clark Dietz, Inc. is an employee-owned, multidiscipline consulting engineering firm with offices in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. We are a recognized leader in transportation, civil, environmental, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering.

Our Kenosha, WI office has an internship available for the Summer 2025. The internship will provide an opportunity to assist engineers with construction inspection services on a variety of municipal infrastructure and roadway projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist engineers with site surveying and documentation of construction activities.
  • Compute quantities and verify measurements and layouts on project sites.
  • Read and interpret construction plans and documents, and research specifications and codes as needed.
  • Perform basic calculations to compute quantities, verify measurements, and organize and analyze data.
  • Work productively with all project stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Declared major in Civil Engineering and interest in Municipal or Environmental engineering.
  • Ability to compute quantities and verify measurements and layouts.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents.
  • Ability to perform basic calculations.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Previous experience using CAD software (AutoCad, Civil 3D) is desired.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel & Word).
  • Valid driver's license is required.
