About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our dynamic team at The Clorox Company. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting our packaging equipment to ensure high-quality products are manufactured efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate packaging equipment, ensuring it is set up and maintained properly.
- Perform changeovers on all equipment, following established procedures and protocols.
- Repair any equipment malfunctions or failures, using your mechanical knowledge and skills.
- Accurately identify quality problems, working with teams as needed to ensure products meet or exceed established quality standards.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all supplies and parts, ordering replacements as needed.
- Assist with completion of improvement projects, as well as equipment installations, working with the engineering team as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols, ensuring all equipment is operated in a safe and responsible manner.
- Document all maintenance and repair work in accordance with established procedures.
- Attend all required training sessions, staying up-to-date on new equipment and technologies.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent experience) required; some college coursework in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment (preferably 1-2 years).
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with equipment.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills in order to respond appropriately to salary and hourly personnel.
- Demonstrate ability to prioritize work area to 5S standards.
- Self-motivated work behavior.
- Able to identify root cause, problem-solving skills (highly preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, able to follow established procedures and protocols.
