We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Hire Military Talent. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PLC programming, manufacturing processes, and hardware systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Design and develop electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes, creating detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
  • PLC Programming and Troubleshooting: Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs and related automation equipment, developing and implementing control strategies to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Hardware and Equipment Management: Specify and select electrical components and hardware for new and existing systems, managing the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Manufacturing Support: Provide technical support to the manufacturing team to resolve electrical and control issues, collaborating with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for electrical systems, including schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals, ensuring all electrical systems and processes comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions, staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical skills: proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting, strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and hardware systems, experience with industrial automation and control systems, familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
  • Soft skills: strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
