Key Responsibilities:- Electrical System Installation, Maintenance, and Repair: Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and other control devices.
- Programming and Configuration: Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems, and develop and implement control strategies for automated machinery and processes.
- System Upgrades and Modifications: Assist in the design and implementation of system upgrades and modifications to improve efficiency and reliability, and work with engineering and production teams to develop and implement process improvements.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, and ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to production and maintenance staff on the operation and maintenance of control systems, and assist in the development of training materials and standard operating procedures.
- Safety and Quality Assurance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, and perform quality checks to ensure all work meets the required standards.
- Education: Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with electrical control systems in an industrial setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs, strong understanding of electrical schematics and control diagrams, and familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, ISA Certified Control Systems Technician) are a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- This position may require working in various environments, including production floors, control rooms, and maintenance areas.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as required.
