Technical Support Analyst

This role entails the development, documentation, and assistance for TEGNA's server and workstation systems within a continuous operational environment. Collaborating with team members, this position will propose, design, and execute toolsets and services to maintain the health, security, and optimal functionality of TEGNA's Data Centers and on-premise infrastructure. The individual will be accountable for documenting modifications, upgrades, and assessments to ensure technology is deployed and sustained with minimal disruption to business operations. This position will engage effectively with various IT teams, corporate departments, business units, consultants, and service providers to guarantee seamless functioning of TEGNA's IT platforms.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide onsite support at the operational hub.
  • Proactively ensure a secure and healthy server and workstation environment.
  • Oversee and execute special projects.
  • Diagnose issues and document solutions.
  • Design and implement toolsets and create workflows to enhance automation.
  • Adapt positively to changes, manage additional essential tasks as required, and constructively challenge existing processes.
  • Collaborate with managed service providers to enhance efficiency and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Offer on-call and after-hours support as part of a rotation.
Qualifications:
  • Possession of a college degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience with server and/or end-user computing orchestration, management, and monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with automation of system management using enterprise tools.
  • Knowledge of broadcast software applications.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages.
  • Experience in leading projects from inception through to implementation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of service desk concepts and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks/projects and follow through to completion.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical topics to various stakeholders.
