Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and bi-lingual Energy Efficiency Specialist to join our team in Portland, OR. As an Outreach Specialist, you will engage with small businesses and organizations for whom English is not their primary language, in the delivery of a large electric and gas utility energy efficiency program throughout the State of Oregon.

Responsibilities
  • Present program information to a wide variety of customers and audiences with varying understanding of energy efficiency knowledge
  • Use proprietary evaluation software to record existing system conditions during a property walkthrough and make energy efficiency recommendations at commercial properties
  • Collaborate with existing contractor network to support customer project bid acquisition
  • Work collaboratively across program teams to assist in identifying and closing shared projects with a focus on serving participants whose primary language is Spanish
  • Actively engage appropriate trade groups and associations to promote Program offerings and services
Requirements
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates empathy, respect, and a genuine interest in the experiences and challenges faced by Latino utility customers and small business owners
  • Ability to create an inclusive environment that encourages open dialogue and collaboration
