Job Summary:
This role is partially funded by grants. The Assistant Professor of Cardiology will engage in clinical practice within a multidisciplinary cardiovascular and thoracic service line.
The incumbent will be actively involved in patient care, as well as in educating medical students and residents within outpatient clinics and inpatient services.
Involvement in clinical research and service is essential, alongside maintaining a robust clinical record to qualify for the faculty rank of Assistant Professor.
This position may involve collaboration with existing university administration to establish an operational practice and may include responsibilities at affiliated healthcare facilities.Key Responsibilities:
- Outpatient Clinics: Develop and manage a cardiology outpatient practice (30%)
- Inpatient Service: Deliver cardiology services in an inpatient setting (50%)
- Virtual Services: Provide telehealth services within the cardiology practice (20%)
Environmental Considerations:
Potential exposure to hazardous materials and bloodborne pathogens.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds, perform repetitive motions, and engage in various physical activities as necessary for the role.
