A prominent client in the Aerospace and Defense sector is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to join their team. This organization is recognized for its innovative solutions across various industries, including communications, healthcare, industrial, and energy sectors. The selected engineer will be tasked with:


• Analyzing test outcomes and measurements for devices that fail manufacturing tests, categorizing them to identify patterns in daily failures.


• Verifying failure modes and symptoms through visual inspections, connector reseating, and initial board diagnostics.


• Documenting observations and test results for each failure to support root cause analysis and corrective actions, ensuring compliance with reporting standards.


• Presenting daily yield rates, failure analysis, and process improvement updates during operational meetings.


• Managing repair inventory to meet production goals and reduce excess inventory, including:


- Executing disassembly and reassembly of devices as per work instructions to isolate failures.


- Recording and prescribing next steps for repairs or further analysis.


- Enforcing rework processes and optimizing them to enhance efficiency and minimize material waste.


- Reporting on rework status and inventory metrics daily.


• Summarizing and presenting defective materials for review in weekly meetings.


• Disassembling devices to analyze or replace non-conforming components.


• Diagnosing subassemblies using various testing tools and isolating defects to facilitate replacements and process enhancements.


• Performing selective rework on electronic components and drafting clear rework instructions for production teams.
