Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Culinary Specialist to join our culinary team. Our hotel features various food and beverage outlets serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Culinary Specialist will utilize their culinary expertise to ensure consistent quality for our evening guests. Previous experience in a similar role is essential, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting. Open availability is required, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food items according to production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
  • Ensure food quality by following recipe cards and production standards as per guest orders.
  • Initiate preparation of food items ahead of time, avoiding over-preparation.
  • Assist in the preparation of vegetables and condiments for the next shift.
  • Support the preparation of banquet meals as assigned.
  • Label and rotate food containers, ensuring perishables are stored at appropriate temperatures.
  • Check inventory for shift use, determining necessary preparation and setup.
  • Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment, notifying management of any issues.
  • Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries, ensuring proper dating and rotation.
  • Complete breakdown and cleaning of workstations at the end of the shift.
  • Adhere to emergency and safety procedures, following all key control protocols.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Must be able to communicate effectively in English and maintain a professional appearance. Strong attention to detail and a willingness to assist coworkers are essential. Candidates should possess the physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 100 lbs. All final candidates must successfully complete background and drug tests.
